“We knit from the bottom of the bag according to the wooden pattern made by the knitting craftsman.
In order to make the mesh uniform, it is impossible to finish beautifully unless the power of the fingertip is strong. Finally, I remove a fine keba and a basket is completed.
Hexagon flower knitting with 5 mm width etc is made by skilled craftsmen over several days so it can not be mass produced and the scarcity is high. Therefore, the number on the market is limited.
Nearly all bags that attach inner cloth are persimmon juice dyed.
I use the persimmon juice stock liquid I got from a long-established store in Kyoto.
Why is persimmon juice dyeing persimmon itself has insecticidal and mildew-proof effect.
The vine of mountain grapes will not grow moldy like fibers like bamboo, but when stored in places with high humidity, molds may adhere to the surface.
Although it is expensive to prevent it, I attach the inner cloth of persimmon juice dye to almost all bags.
